    Sleep & Relaxation

Two symptoms — one root cause: the body needs more balance.

    Sleep problems

Thoughts that won't settle. Lying awake at night despite being exhausted. Waking up at the same time every night. Many people are familiar with these scenarios, but few know that they are precisely differentiated and treated in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

Three common patterns from a TCM perspective:

Gallbladder Qi stagnation — You can't fall asleep at night and are still awake after midnight. Energetically, this indicates a blockage that, in the long term, weakens the heart meridian and can lead to a lack of blood flow to the heart.

Energy depletion — You are so exhausted that your body can no longer rest. Overwork and depletion rob it of the energy it needs to fall asleep.

Liver blood deficiency — You regularly wake up between 1 and 3 a.m. A classic sign in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that points to lifestyle and habitual patterns.

Sleep is a complex topic—a thorough medical history is the first step. In the initial consultation, we will discuss your sleep patterns, digestion, and lifestyle habits. Tongue and pulse diagnosis provide further insights.

    Tension & Cupping

Tension arises from poor posture, stress, or blocked energy flow. Cupping therapy is a millennia-old method of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) — gentle, effective, and deeply relaxing.

What cupping does: It promotes blood circulation and Qi flow, loosens fascia, stimulates lymphatic flow, and specifically relieves tension and tightness.

How it works: Glass cupping glasses create a vacuum on the skin. Large-area cupping is performed using a moving motion – creating a pleasantly warm sensation. For localized ailments, cupping glasses are applied to specific areas. Silicone cups for self-application are also available upon request.
